Grocery shopping these days is not just about picking up your usual groceries. Hao Mart has just upped the ante with the opening of Taste Orchard – a brand new five-story shopping mall along Orchard Road that aims to be a one-stop destination for everything imaginable, with a wide array of retail stores and, food and drink alternatives.

Taste Orchard has taken over the space which used to be OG Orchard. Upon entering on Level 1, you’ll be welcomed by the notable Live Seafood and Butchery & Deli Counters, a ‘FYI’ Live Kitchen serving up freshly prepared cuisine and the Wine Bar & Cellar, which is operated by the Wine Mansion restaurant group.

On the same level, you can also find eating options such as BHC Chicken, Yole, and Killiney. Other restaurants in the pipeline include Taiwanese bubble tea shop Kebuke Tea Co., Japanese chain Warabimochi Kamakura and Chirashi King Kong, among others.

A variety of live seafood, including the highly sought-after Alaskan King Crab, is displayed in a row of tanks at the Live Seafood counter. On a daily basis, the supermarket receives deliveries of fresh fish to be offered to customers.

With over 40 distinct fresh meat cuts to choose from, the butchery counter boasts dry-ageing chillers showcasing audacious cuts like the Tomahawk and Porterhouse, which are aged in-house altogether. Wine pairings with cheese and charcuterie are on display at the Deli counter.
