Bring on the blues. The Blue Man Group is coming, and for the first time ever, they are bringing a female lead with them to join their trio of male performers.
As part of their Bluevolution World Tour, the American musical-theatric Blue Man Group will be performing in Singapore at the Theater at Mediacorp starting on 16 January 2024. A fourth member, “The Rockstar,” will be joining the group for this revitalised tour.
Blue Man Group first performed in Singapore in 2016.
The Blue Man Group is a global entertainment phenomenon.
The three-piece performance arts group was formed in 1987 and has since become a global phenomenon because of its distinctive blend of musical, comic and theatrical aspects that audiences of all ages like. The performer, known as Blue Men, have their painted blue.
For the Bluevolution World Tour, you can expect the three essential, distinctive components of a Blue Man Group performance, including the DrumBone – a hybrid instrument that uses half drum and half trombone to generate rhythms – and the Paint Drums, which combines drumming with paint to create an artistic display, as well as the Big Drum, which is peculiar to a Blue Man Group event.
Blue Man Group is known for its award-winning euphoric celebrations of human connection through art, music, comedy by Cirque du Soleil Entertainment.
Tip: get your hands on some front-row seats, complete with ponchos. You will be in for an evening of surprises, hilarity, and rock ‘n’ roll.
New female character ‘Rockstar’ in Bluevolution World Tour
Classic favourites will be performed, and a first for Blue Man Group, a female figure, will serve as “Master of Ceremonies” to oversee the evening’s ritual. Her unique style and energetic musical stylings, which she calls “The Rockstar,” will bring an unprecedented level of sensory immersion to the concert.
