For the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix happening this weekend, keep a lookout for the McLaren cars. The McLaren MCL60 F1 cars is sporting a special edition Stealth Mode livery design for the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix from 15 to 17 September and the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix to be held from 22 to 24 September.
The new livery was unveiled by McLaren Racing and OKX, a leading Web3 technology company and Official Primary Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team, at special event held on 13 September 2023 at Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore. McLaren F1 Team drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, as well as OKX Chief Marketing Officer Haider Rafique and McLaren Racing Executive Director, Partnerships and Accelerator, Matt Dennington, were in attendance at the event.
Stealth Mode on.
OKX and McLaren collaborated to develop the team’s new “Stealth Mode” livery, which will feature a black base with signature papaya accents. The minimalist aesthetic is a reflection of the two companies’ shared commitment to doing the heavy lifting required to achieve success and their openness to and encouragement of new ideas and approaches.
OKX will also host OKX Race Club, a McLaren fan zone, at Chijmes, Singapore, to bring fans closer to appreciate the McLaren car’s Stealth Mode.
According to McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown, the Stealth Mode flips McLaren’s race car’s colours for the Singapore and Japanese Grands Prix. The group that worked on the design hopes that the fans will appreciate the fan zone and have fun interacting with the McLaren staff.
Fans will get a chance to see the stealth mode design up close.
OKX’s Chief Marketing Officer, Haider Rafique, believes that, just as in the world of Web3, success on the track requires a collaborative effort and fresh ideas from all parties involved. Rafique explained that it is these shared ideals that informed the Stealth Mode design.
From 14 to 17 September 2023, the OKX Race Club will be in full swing, complete with a Stealth Mode display car, racing simulators, freebies, and special guests. Those interested in the fan zone can register for free tickets here.
