Western Australia’s oldest winery region

Located only 25 minutes from Perth, the capital of Western Australia, the Swan Valley is the state’s oldest wine region and Australia’s second-oldest overall. The region boasts of about fifty wineries there, as well as twelve breweries and cideries and ten distilleries.

After Swan Valley reopened in March 2022, Mayor Lucas noted that Singaporeans were among the first visitors to return. He said that tourists from Singapore wanted to see the countryside, stay on farms, and snap up the remainder of the season’s prized table grapes and award-winning wines.

City of Swan Chief Executive Officer Stephen Cain said that in today’s increasingly competitive tourism market, it is greatly commendable for Singapore to support the tourism program of the two regions.

“The City of Swan recognises Singapore as a valuable market for many of its businesses. Returning to Singapore will promote tourism visitation, while helping our local businesses to build better trade and retail connections,” Cain said.

The Swan Valley in Singapore 2023 also marks the commencement of a new marketing effort to promote Swan Valley visits. Singapore residents can enter a lucky draw to win a trip for two to the Swan Valley and Perth, valued at AUD$5,000.
