Emirates to Resume Daily Direct Flights Between Singapore and Melbourne

As part of its frequency ramp-up to Sydney and Melbourne to meet increasing travel demand, Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, will relaunch its daily direct route between Singapore and Melbourne on 26 March 2023.

With the ability to carry as many as 5,000 people per week, the reinstatement of Emirates’ Singapore-Melbourne route will assist service the pent-up demand for air travel between the two cities and beyond across the airline’s global network.

Emirates’ return to directly serving the Singapore and Melbourne route symbolises the airline’s commitment to supporting the travel and tourism industry of both countries.

Since 1990, Emirates has provided service to Singapore, and with the return of service to Melbourne, the airline now offers three daily departures from Dubai to 130 destinations across the world. Tickets can be bought on emirates.com, the Emirates app or from certified travel agents.

The Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER planes have eight private suites in First Class, forty-two lie-flat seats in Business Class, and three hundred and four comfortable seats in Economy Class. Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment system features up to 5,000 channels of on-demand entertainment in over 40 languages, including movies, TV shows, and an extensive musical library along with games, audio books, and podcasts, and is complimentary for all passengers flying to or from Singapore.

Flight EK404, operated by Emirates and using a Boeing 777-300ER, will depart Dubai at 21:15 and arrive in Singapore at 08:50 daily between 26 March and 1 April 2023. After leaving Singapore at 10:25, the flight will continue on to Melbourne, arriving there at 20:35 local time. In reverse, flight EK405 will leave Melbourne at 03:25, arrives in Singapore at 08:15, and departs to Dubai at 09:40. The flight is scheduled to land in Dubai at 1300 local time.

Flight EK404 from Emirates will arrive in Melbourne at 1935 hours on 2 April 2023 and depart for Singapore as flight EK405 at 02:25 hours.
