Cebu Pacific and Tourism Malaysia Team Up to Encourage More Filipinos to Visit Kuala Lumpur

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ top airline, has partnered with Tourism Malaysia in encouraging Filipinos to fly once more to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Malaysia opened recently its borders to all fully vaccinated Filipinos, allowing tourists to enjoy a more comfortable, quarantine-free vacation. Beginning 1 April 2022, vaccinated visitors to Malaysia have been enjoying an easier travel experience, requiring only proof of vaccination and registration on the MySejahtera App.

Launching this collaboration, Cebu Pacific and Tourism Malaysia flew a group of tour operators to Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Pahang to see and experience the KLCC, Saloma Bridge, Sunway Lagoon, and Genting Highland Premium Outlet, to mention a few. This was quickly followed by a group of lifestyle journalists and travel bloggers, as both groups hope to inspire Filipinos to fly easily and experience Malaysia today for its magnificent and iconic architecture, Instagrammable sites, and mouth-watering cuisine tours.

According to Cebu Pacific’s Corporate Communications Director Carmina Romero, he was happy to have the opportunity to collaborate with Tourism Malaysia once again as travel restrictions set by both countries during the pandemic starts easing considerably. The renewed partnership is expected to instil interest and confidence amongst Filipino travellers to fly abroad to destinations like Kuala Lumpur.

“We at Tourism Malaysia Manila hope this familiarisation trip, where we’ve partnered with Cebu Pacific for both travel agents and the media, will make Malaysia a more popular travel destination for Filipinos. Tourism Malaysia warmly welcomes all our Filipino friends to Malaysia again, to experience our new attractions, wonderful food, and world-class hospitality. We hope this endeavour results in both exciting tour packages that are of great value for money for Filipinos and expats in the Philippines alike,” said Yazlina Azlin Yahya, Tourism Malaysia Director.

Cebu Pacific presently operates daily flights between Manila and Kuala Lumpur, giving travellers convenient access to the finest of what Malaysia offers to visitors.

Cebu Pacific maintains its guaranteed cheap rates to encourage travel across its network, while implementing a multi-layered approach to safety to encourage every Filipino to fly again.
