Frequent bar-hoppers in Keong Saik now have another place to go to. Founded in Vietnam, award-winning craft beer brewery Heart of Darkness has joined the lively neighbourhood with its new home at 1 Keong Saik Road.
The new Heart of Darkness is bigger than before. An attention-grabbing large mural by local visual artist Tobyato sits in the heart of the taproom, lending artsy vibes to the space.
Heart of Darkness is known for its own creative brews, special collaborations and beers from selected local breweries. You can enjoy 25+ craft beers on tap, along with a wide selection of wines, 14 beer cocktails and western fusion bar snacks and tapas on the menu.
The core beer menu includes favourites such as Dream Alone Pale Ale (a single hop pale ale showcasing Mosaic from the US), Futile Purpose Cucumber Pilsner (a fresh pilsner with a soft malt body and gentle summer brightness) and Director’s Cacao Nib Porter (a soft porter infused with Vietnamese cacao nibs).
Don’t miss the cocktails too – each cocktail is a twist on classics while incorporating beer into the concoction. Two eye-catching cocktails are the light and refreshing Bloody Sunset ($19) with Aperol, Cointreau Blood Orange, Brass Lion Butterfly Gin and First Sunset Pale Ale and the fruity Talking Heads (S$21) with Pisco, Monkey 47 Sloe Gin, fresh lemon juice, Raspberry Kumquat syrup, soda and a fruit bowl garnish.
Heart of Darkness is open daily from 12pm to 10.30pm.
