Double The Screens, Double The Fun: Make Way For The Huawei Mate Xs

Foldable phones are inching their way back into the market to become the talk of the town, and Huawei has been on top of the game since day one. Announced on 12 March, Huawei’s newest rendition of foldable smartphones, the HUAWEI Mate Xs, is coming to Singapore.

The HUAWEI Mate Xs is touted as the new and improved generation of the previous Mate X, reinforced this time with innovative design elements and powerful hardware. With focus on a seamless and enriched user experience, several swanky new features were included.

Fully unclasped, the FullView display measures 8 inches for all your entertainment and productivity needs.

The highlight of the Mate Xs is its cutting edge design—in your pockets, it sits nicely with its 6.6-inch main screen. With the press of a quick button on the sidebar, the folded display unclasps to reveal an immersive 8” FullView screen in all its glory. Whether it’s for work or play, the unfurled screen creates a viewing experience like no other, and provides a taste of the tablet experience with plenty of convenience. While the idea of a folding screen may raise some eyebrows, Huawei is ready to dispel all doubts: the Mate Xs was constructed with an upgrade of the original Falcon Wing Design, incorporating over 100 interlocking components that work fluidly to reduce any evidence of a crease on the full screen. Cased within an additional protective layer made of aerospace-grade optical polyamide material, users are assured of a safe and durable device to last them a long time.

Huawei’s Mate Xs also boasts powerful 5G connectivity, driven by its Kirin 990 5G chipset. As the world’s first chipset to unite 5G availability and high output, it even does so efficiently while reducing heat generation.

The software is just as functional– for those reliant on your phones for productivity, the Mate Xs’ new Multi-Window feature allows you to make the most of your large screen. Files can now be dragged and dropped across the two screens, along with other exciting ways to interact with your upsized device. Shutterbugs who are fervent supporters of the Huawei camera prowess will not be disappointed too. The Mate Xs carries a SuperSensing Leica Quad Camera, which includes a main 40MP SuperSensing Wide Camera. Photographs on the Mate Xs are sharp and their colours vivid, with these high quality scenes enhanced by the 16-core Mali-G76 GPU graphics processor. For the landscape shots you need on your travels, or for the massive group we-fies, the built-in wide angle lens will also come in handy.

The Huawei Mate Xs contains a sleek SuperSensing Leica Quad Camera system along its sidebar.

An additional bonus if you’ve become an online banking convert – United Overseas Bank (UOB) has partnered with Huawei to have its consumer mobile banking app, UOB Mighty, pre-installed on all Mate Xs devices locally. It is also the first bank in Singapore to have its app up on the Huawei official app store, AppGallery.

This mighty device, fit for your throwback to the start of the millennium, will hit stores from 21 March 2020 onwards. Available online or at all Huawei Concept stores, selected M1 and StarHub outlets and consumer electronic stores, it retails at S$3,788, freebies included! For every purchase, you’ll get a free HUAWEI envelope leather case and a HUAWEI FreeBuds 3, worth S$238 each. These are while stocks last, so mark your calendars!
