Come 15 November 2019, Jazz Association (Singapore) is set to bring about its inaugural Pinnacle Concert by the Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO). The concert – as its title “Pinnacle Concert 2019: A Jazzy Bicentennial Commemoration of Singapore-UK Friendship” suggests – will theme around the Bicentennial of Singapore-UK friendship.
You can expect a repertoire of songs that relate to both the Singapore and British experiences, along with newly commissioned arrangements, compositions and well-loved jazz favourites. There will also be one collaborative composition by a Singapore composer and a UK composer.
The concert will be led by Singapore’s most well-known jazz musician Jeremy Monteiro, along with Associate Music Director Tan Weixiang. The evening will also feature top vocalist Tina May from the UK, Singapore vocalists Louis Soliano and Alemay Fernandez, British jazz icon Johnny Dankworth and many more esteemed musicians.
