Save and Receive Cashback with Standard Chartered Dining Journeys Exclusive Weekday Privileges

Often is an understatement when it comes to dining out or catching up with your friends over drinks after a long and hard day at work. So why not get the most bang for your buck if you dine out frequently?

If you’re always scrambling to find the best deals in town on weekdays, the latest weekday dining privileges exclusive to Standard Chartered Credit Cardholders will give you a reason to rejoice. With over 100 participating restaurants to pick from, one can patronise top dining spots in popular and trendy enclaves, such as Dempsey and Keong Saik, and enjoy exclusive card privileges at the same time.

So we were invited to an exclusive tasting session and had the chance to savour great food at some of the popular restaurants partnering Standard Chartered.

The first stop was Wildfire Burgers.

The Battered Atlantic Cod Fingers (S$15), one of the tasty bar bites, kept our hunger at bay as we waited for the signature dishes at Wildfire Burgers to be served.

The wait for The Works (S$23) was well worth it as we sank our teeth into the glorious premium-aged beef patty sandwiched between layers of sliced tomatoes, streaky bacon and egg.

Made with N20-charged buttermilk batter, the Speculoos Waffle (S$15) was a breath of fresh air with its lighter and crispier texture that runs contrary to what we expect of the usual waffle.

Next up was The Song of India, nestled within a quaint corner of a prime area in Singapore. Expect to be greeted with grandeur exuding from the ambience and details of the interior décor as you step into the restaurant

Having heard marvellous reviews about this one-Michelin-starred restaurant, we were excited to finally see for ourselves if it lives up to the hype. Well, we were pleased as punch with the entire gastronomic experience at The Song of India and could see why they won the much-coveted title.

Our culinary journey across India began with this plate of Sarson Cod Tikka – chargrilled black cod marinated with mustard oil, coriander and tamarind – that made us fall in love with Indian cuisine right off the reel.

The Song of India serves up an irresistible version of tandoori chicken that looks as great as it tastes.

As simple as it looks, these saffron and sesame naans taste fantastic even on its own. Who knew something so simple could taste so good?

The head chef demonstrated his gastronomic molecular knowledge in the preparation of the molecular jelly in this aesthetically plated Alphonso Mango Kulfi.

The Song of India flies in ingredients sourced within India to Singapore every 15 days, showing just how particular the head chef Manjunath Mural is about the quality of food he serves. Standard Chartered Credit Cardholders are in luck as The Song of India is one of the participating restaurants in this exclusive weekday promotion.
