Conrad Centennial Singapore celebrates the annual Mid-Autumn festival with a taste of tradition presented in a luxurious treasure box. Its award-winning Chinese restaurant, Golden Peony, offers three colours of treasure boxes and new exotic flavors that promise to delight your taste buds.

This year sees the introduction of two alcohol-infused mini snowskin mooncakes – Champagne and Strawberry and Rum and Raisin, in addition to two other new non-alcoholic flavours – Cranberry Cheese and Green Tea with White Chocolate.

Available in three colours – Velvet Red, Luxe Gold, and a limited edition Antique Gold, with subtle floral print – Conrad Centennial Singapore’s mooncakes makes the perfect gift for family, friends and business associates.

I especially enjoyed its Signature Mini Snowskin collection. The Cranberry Cheese mooncake was tantalising and blended the flavours of cranberry and cheese perfectly.

The taste of green tea made an excellent combination with the velvety taste of white chocolate, for its Green Tea with White Chocolate mooncake.

Another mooncake in its Signature Mini Snowskin collection would be the Champagne and Strawberry mooncake which contains alcohol. For alcohol lovers, start the Mid-Autumn celebration on a high and decadent note with the Champagne and Strawberry mooncake. The distinctive flavour of champagne worked well and was not overwhelming, with a sweet kick of Strawberry.

The textures of the mooncakes were velvety and gave a melt-in-your-mouth experience, alongside its fillings. I would recommend these to mooncake enthuasists who can enjoy these meticulously crafted and indulgent mooncakes with exotic flavours.

For fans of traditional mooncakes, other perennial mooncakes on offer include a selection of Traditional Baked White Lotus Paste, Traditional Baked with Mixed Nuts, as well as Golden Peony’s signature Sweet Potato Mooncake in Crispy Filo Pastry. These mooncakes encased a moist paste, where its yolks were perfectly salty and delicious. The Traditional Baked with White Lotus Paste mooncake, for instance, had a smooth consistency, where its lotus seed paste was creamy and well-balanced. For its Traditional Baked with Mixed Nuts mooncake, the mixed nuts added a pleasant aroma and crunch.
