We love our hawker food, but sometimes, we don’t share the same love for the hot weather we have to endure while dining at hawker centres. Well, this July and August, Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore is giving us a chance to eat delicious hawker fare in cool air-conditioned comfort with its Hawker Promotion.
On the terrace of Makan@Jen at the hotel, live cooking stations will be set up, serving local hawker fare cooked on the spot. You can expect popular dishes such as fried hokkien mee, orh luak (fried oyster omelette), roti prata and chicken satay.
The hotel’s signature Laksa Fried Rice will also be available at the Hawker Promotion. The dish is based on the Singapore Laksa, but done with a twist. It is cooked with a secret recipe by head chef Lee Hoong Wan.
Even the beverages and desserts are local favourites. You’ll get to enjoy beverages such as bandung and desserts like bubur cha cha and nonya kueh.
Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore’s Hawker Promotion (priced at S$42++ per person) is available for dinner on Monday through Thursday, from 6.30pm to 10pm for the months of July and August 2016.
