Release Your Inner Beast with Magnum Doubles Collection

Magnum has launched their boldest and most indulgent ice cream yet – the Magnum Double, which is available in Double Chocolate and Double Peanut Butter. Besides being wrapped in the signature chocolate coating, Magnum Double Chocolate has an extra layer of chocolate sauce beneath that deliciousness. While Magnum Double Peanut Butter is the perfect balance of sweet and salty.

In celebration of the launch, Magnum collaborated with four iconic personalities, all who have dared to “Release the Beast, Dare to Go Double” in their lives, thus creating the ultimate indulgent party at Magnum Mansion.

Magnum parties are always extravagant and glorious affairs. This time was no different. The Magnum Mansion was filled with double delights to match their Doubles Collection. Double flavour with the Magnum Doubles Pleasure Bar, double style with Melissa Celetine Koh and Anue Studios, and double listening pleasure with ATTAGIRL! DJ duo A/K/A and DuriO. DJ DuriO collaborated with Magnum for an exclusive soundtrack to set the mood music and help guests to “step out of their comfort zones, channel the confidence and positive energy”. The collaboration was a prelude to ATTAGIRL!’s third anniversary celebration. A full-female line-up of local and regional DJs, electronic acts, female rappers and MCs can be expected for their upcoming celebration.

The Magnum party was hosted by dynamic and versatile Yvette King. Platters of Magnum Double Chocolate and Double Peanut Butter were brought out for all. Yvette led the guests in a rousing toast to Magnum, and when everyone took their first bite of the ice cream, a shower of confetti and balloons was released. Guests were then free to indulge in all the pleasures the Magnum Mansion offered.

At the Magnum Doubles Pleasure Bar, guests could design their very own magnum from the coating to topping. Guests were offered 18 toppings to select from; they also could choose to have an animal print motif instead and have it embellished with flower petals or whatever they fancied. I first went with a customised white chocolate magnum with lavender petals.

I went back for another round of Magnum, this time choosing cinnamon sugar, cranberries and chocolate rice crispies for my topping over a dark chocolate coating drizzled with white chocolate. Not a very conventional combination of toppings but it was delicious nonetheless.

Besides the Double Pleasure Bar, guests were also invited to create their best masterpieces on chocolate. These delicious works of art were later added to the mane of a lion sculpture. The sculpture was meant as an embodiment of guests releasing their inner beast.

At the Style lounge, the beauty bar let guests have leopard spots painted on, or simply get a touch-up for their makeup. Hair styling was also available, making the possibilities endless. Guests could opt for leopard spots sprayed onto their hair if they preferred as well.

After guests had beautified themselves, bold styling advice as well as beauty tips from blogger Melissa Celestine Koh. Guests were also privy to a sneak preview of her latest collection from her label, run after, which will be launching later this year.

Photographers from Anue Studios, Elvina Farkas and Lucas Milone were there to immortalise these indulgent moments in stylised portrait sessions as reminders to always be bold. There were quirky props guests could use in line with the theme. Accessories and apparel from Melissa’s label could be used for photographs as well.

DJ A/K/A and DJ DuriO kept the party going with their rendition of popular songs that had guests shaking their tails on the dance floor between mouthfuls of ice cream and glamming up at the style lounge. The party slowly drew to a close with strains of jazz interlaced with dance beats.
