Chef Reto Mathis from Europe’s Highest Altitude Restaurant La Marmite Returns to World Gourmet Summit

This April, food connoisseurs will be able to dine on a high – Swiss Master Chef Reto Mathis from La Marmite, Europe’s highest altitude restaurant, will return to Singapore at Stellar at 1-Altitude for World Gourmet Summit (WGS) 2016.

The esteemed chef runs six different gastronomic establishments, including La Marmite, in St. Moritz on Corviglia, at an altitude of 2,486 metres. Back in 1997, he was the first Master Chef to be invited to the inaugural WGS. This year, Chef Mathis returns as guest chef at Stellar at 1-Altitude from 13 to 16 April 2016 for the annual culinary event.

Chef Mathis will be showcasing some of his specialties under the Signature Truffles and Caviar menu. Diners will get a taste of his famous dishes including Reto’s Truffle Pizza, a tarte flambée with fromage blanc and truffles; Egg 62˚, a poached egg, potato and truffle espuma with truffle jus and truffles; Wagyu Robespierre with Grana chips and truffles; and Raclette Mathis, melted Brie cheese with caviar and sour cream.

The Mathis Signature menu will feature Crispy Panzanella of Octopus and onions; Open-faced Raviolo of Braised Veal Shank; Confit of Lake Trout Fillet; and Rack of Red Deer in Engadine Herb Crust, along with Chocolate and Honey-Lavender desserts.

Available for dinner, the Signature Truffles & Caviar menu is priced at S$190++ per person and the Mathis Signature menu is priced at S$170++ per person.
