21 Days to Stronger Nails with Swisse

Swisse, the leading Australian top multivitamin brand has launched in Singapore earlier this year with Singaporean actress Rebecca Lim and celebrity chef Willin Low as their local brand ambassadors, alongside with other global ambassadors such as Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman, MasterChef Australia judge Chef George Calombaris, Australian tennis player Lleyton Hewitt, just to name a few.

Swisse promises its consumers that their multivitamins or supplements are made with high quality ingredients. For example, Swisse men’s and women’s multivitamins alone contain around 50 ingredients — that’s over 20 more than Singapore’s leading multivitamin brand.

I decided to try the Swisse Ultiboost Hair, Skin, Nails+ to see if it can do anything to salvage my extremely fragile and soft nails, and my thinning hair as well. According to the product description, this is a premium beauty formula that is specially formulated to support collagen production, which is key in the maintenance of healthy hair, skin and nails.

The instruction calls for a tablet daily after breakfast. It is said that effects should be visible after 14 days. Instead of just 14 days, I took the tablets religiously for 21 days instead. During the first seven days, I felt that my nails were less prone to peeling, albeit still soft. On the 14th day, I went travelling and carried lots of heavy goods, but my nails remained intact. On a typical day, my nails would have been peeling badly.

On the 21st day, my usually ridge-filled nails became smoother. My hair, on the other hand, still did not seem to be strong. I am guessing it will take a longer time to see the effects on my hair.

Swisse Ultiboost Hair, Skin, Nails+ has so far seemed promising and I will continue taking Swisse Women’s Ultivite for an overall optimal performance.
