To quote Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl, “Whoever said that money doesn’t buy happiness didn’t know where to shop.”
To a certain extent I have to agree with her, because as we all know it, a large part of our past time is dedicated to shopping. And for me, I succumbed at Uniqlo which has collaborated with Ines de La Fressange for the fourth time for its Fall/Winter collection. Even though we have a pretty tropical climate all year around, October to January tend to get a little cooler and definitely have more rainfall. It’ll be a good reason to stock up on those blazers and comfy sweaters.
Ines de La Fressange is world-renowned as a former French model and currently, a fashion designer and successful business woman. A fashion icon in her own right, her collections often feature comfortable pieces with sophisticated femininity and a hint of smart masculinity. Each piece is versatile and can easily be paired with many outfits, which is ideal for frequent travellers as there is less packing to do and more mix and matching. UNIQLO have created an ideal wardrobe with her that includes pieces and essentials that reflect her own personal style.
If you are interested, head down to Uniqlo Suntec City, currently the largest outlet in Singapore, to shop the complete collection of Uniqlo x Ines de La Fressange FW2015. The collection includes blazers of different materials, cardigans, sweaters, shirts, dresses, pants and accessories such as beanies, gloves, socks and scarfs.
I highly recommend getting the accessories if you are heading to a cold country for winter holidays as they are affordably priced and quality wool are being used to ensure sufficient warmth.
I couldn’t resist temptation and ended up grabbing a couple of crisp white shirts, crew-neck wool sweater and knitted gloves for an upcoming work trip to Switzerland. I also ended up shopping more at the store as it was having a sale for its leggings and oxford shirts. Since the inception of Uniqlo in Singapore, I have been stocking up my wardrobe with its pieces as I find them suitable for our weather, being lightweight and very affordable.
