Zalora’s Second Pop-up Store is Up at Bugis+

Lifehack alert: online fashion retailer ZALORA is offering you an upgraded shopping experience with its second pop-up store at Bugis+.

The 2,400-square-foot retail space features a carefully curated selection of international and in-house brands with exclusive collections from highly sought-after labels including Finery London, River Island, Material Girl, Dorothy Perkins, Burton Menswear London, ZALIA and, of course, the eponymous ZALORA label.

The ZALIA label was created in response to a growing market for stylish females with an emphasis on conservative dressing. The attention to detail of each piece is certainly that you do not have to sacrifice sensible fashion sense even if you have to cover up a little.

One of the highlights of ZALORA’s second pop-up store is the QR code tagging of all merchandise. All products at the pop-up will be tagged with two codes — a barcode, for express checkout in-store, and a QR code — where customers can scan via ZALORA’s in-app QR code reader. By scanning the QR code of the desired product, customers are able to have products added to their cart automatically or have it saved to their ‘wishlist’. I think this marriage of real-life retail experience with online shopping is desirable especially when shopping across different brands, enabling the shopper to experience first-hand the fabrics and textures of their cart items before carting out.

Of course, if your phone is somehow experiencing slow data rates with your carrier, fear not. Get this — ZALORA offers FREE Wi-Fi at its pop-up store. That’s right. Even with high mobile penetration rates in Singapore, ZALORA is making sure your shopping experience is as seamless as possible.

At the opening of this pop-up store earlier this month, ZALORA also celebrated its third anniversary in Singapore. Dione Song, Managing Director of ZALORA Singapore, said, “Our first click-and-mortar concept at ION definitely pushed the boundaries of retail in Singapore and for our second pop-up store at Bugis+, we wanted to focus on streamlining the customer journey further to make it as practical, convenient and seamless for anyone who steps in (and out). This was what prompted the push towards a mobile app interaction via a customer’s personal mobile device, where his/her journey no longer ends at the store but becomes part of a continuum shopping experience even if they choose not to transact in-store.”

The celebration would not have been complete without some spiffy cocktails, and Cointreau was the official spirits sponsor for the night.

The ZALORA pop-up store is open from now till 29 July 2015 only. For more information, visit
