IN GOOD COMPANY Opens a New Chapter with Immersive Joo Chiat Shophouse

Singapore’s retail landscape continues to evolve, but few brands are choosing to move in the opposite direction of conventional shopping. Instead of opening another mall boutique, homegrown fashion label IN GOOD COMPANY has unveiled a three-storey heritage shophouse along Joo Chiat Road, creating a lifestyle destination where fashion, hospitality and community come together under one roof.

Located at 316 Joo Chiat Road, the new 3,000-square-foot space marks a significant milestone for the Singapore brand. Housed within a conserved shophouse, it has been designed not simply as a retail store, but as a place where visitors are encouraged to browse, linger and discover at an unhurried pace.

A Heritage Home Reimagined

Stepping inside, visitors are greeted by an interior that feels closer to a thoughtfully designed home than a traditional boutique.

The renovation preserves much of the building’s original character, including exposed brick walls, timber flooring, exposed beams and the shophouse’s iconic spiral staircase. These heritage elements are complemented by natural light, bamboo blinds, woven textures and warm neutral finishes that create a calm, residential atmosphere.

Throughout the store, carefully considered design moments encourage visitors to slow down. The ground floor features a curated object wall showcasing lifestyle products from independent brands and collaborators, while the second floor houses IN GOOD COMPANY’s womenswear, menswear and accessories collections in a more intimate retail setting softened by layered curtains and warm materials.

The third-floor loft has been conceived as a flexible community space that will host workshops, gatherings and creative programming, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to fostering conversations beyond fashion.

Looking ahead, the brand will also introduce its new Travel Sleep Sets in August 2026. Available for both men and women, the coordinated sets are designed for rest both at home and while travelling, continuing the brand’s exploration of intentional everyday rituals.

Extending beyond clothing, the Joo Chiat shophouse introduces an extensive collection of lifestyle objects that reflect IN GOOD COMPANY’s philosophy of intentional living.

You can browse homeware, fragrances, ceramics, wellness products and everyday essentials from a thoughtfully curated mix of local and regional collaborators. Featured names include ANOTHERLAND, Dear Tuesday, Mudrock Ceramics, ROMI Beauty, Nathan Home, Transparent, Studio Karyn Lim and MAD et LEN, alongside exclusive IN GOOD COMPANY lifestyle products developed in collaboration with Allegro Print.

Together, these partnerships blur the lines between fashion, design, hospitality and home, transforming the space into one that rewards exploration long after visitors have finished shopping.

Tea, Wagashi and Thoughtful Hospitality

One of the most distinctive features of the new space is MIURA, a tea and wagashi stand by the team behind Paaru.

Positioned on the ground floor, MIURA offers a contemporary interpretation of Japanese tea culture through carefully brewed teas and handcrafted wagashi. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of omotenashi—a quiet and thoughtful approach to hospitality—the collaboration reflects both brands’ shared appreciation for craftsmanship, detail and creating meaningful experiences.

Against the backdrop of Joo Chiat’s rich culinary heritage, MIURA offers visitors a peaceful corner to pause, reconnect and savour the slower moments of the day.

IN GOOD COMPANY’s new Joo Chiat shophouse is located at 316 Joo Chiat Road, Singapore 427567 and is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 11am to 7pm.
