GIVEAWAY: Unleash Your Creativity with the Canon EOS M10 x Rilakkuma Special Edition Set

If you are a travel or photography enthusiast, you might have heard of the term Nui-dori (ToyTravel) before. A trend which began in Japan in 2014, ToyTravel is simply the art of photography where art imitates life.

In a bid to further spur on what is perhaps one of the latest pop culture phenomenon, Canon has collaborated with the much-loved Rilakkuma and has launched a special edition EOS M10 box set, bundled with a limited edition 24cm Rilakkuma plush toy.

You know how you have seen how some Instagrammers like to include toys in their pictures? Now you too can join in the fun. From a Lego dangling precariously on a bowl of cereal to a stuffed plushie comfortably strapped in an airplane seat, the possibilities are endless.

Cue the Canon EOS M10, the newest addition to the Canon’s EOS M range of high performance mirrorless interchangeable cameras. The most compact and lightweight in the series, it is the ideal camera for you to carry around on all your adventures.

I took the Canon EOS M10 and the limited-edition Rilakkuma plush toy out for a few hours to explore the hip surroundings of Keong Saik Road (it’s more than just hip, it’s a wonderful blend of heritage and modernity). I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderfully fun ToyTravel can be and how user-friendly the Canon EOS M10 is.

"I'm just gonna lepak here for a bit while my owner goes get a cuppa. I hope he doesn't forget me."

“I’m just gonna park myself here for a bit while my owner goes get a cuppa. I hope he doesn’t forget me.”

"Look, new ride! How you like my new Harley Davidson?"

“Look, new ride! How do you like my new Harley Davidson?”

"Okay, all those posing is tiring. Now's my turn for a nice cup of chocolate latte."

“Okay, all those posing is tiring. Now’s my turn for a nice cup of chocolate latte.”

It was really easy for me to transfer the photos I took on the camera to my phone. I could instantly share them on my Instagram and other social media accounts using the inbuilt WiFi connection on the camera. What’s more, the transfer was lightning swift.

The photos also turned out to be sharp. I know some people think it’s easier to just snap using their handphones and share on social media. Trust me, the quality of the photos are vastly different and pales in comparison to the ones taken using the Canon EOS M10. Also, I think my Rilakkuma toy would be happier with my choice too.

About Author

Ivan loves the written word. He might want to write a poem, maybe two. Or, a book, about poems. Heck, it could be about anything. Perhaps one day he might also put lyrics to music.

The writer brought the Canon EOS M10 and a limited edition Rilakkuma plush toy to explore around Keong Saik Road. Winning this would be the best thing to happen to me in 2016 as I have two incoming trips to India & Thailand and not having a camera to document such memories on this trip would be wasted. Im also setting up my new blog to write up on the trips I’m going and have gone to. This would be the best prize and Canon has always been my favourite brand of camera just that I have been saving up to get one so winning this would allow me start my blogging straight away and document everything of my life with my special Rilakkuma! #canonSG #SLFtravels #shafielovesfood
