UNIQLO opens its largest store in the region with the launch of its Global Flagship Store for Southeast Asia and Singapore on the 2 September 2016. The store spans three levels and covers 2,700 square metres of store space. It has 300 digital displays and a total of 350 in-store mannequins, a number matched only by the UNIQLO Ginza Global Flagship Store in Tokyo. If you think you have already seen the full range of UNIQLO products, you have to come here and see to believe.
A dedicated UT (Uniqlo T-shirt) corner graces the ground floor and it showcases exclusive UT designs that came as a result of collaborations with the likes of Pharrell Williams, Olympia Le-Tan and Bruno Munari. There are over 300 t-shirt designs available here including a special Disney Collection City Logo UT featuring Mickey Mouse with the Merlion, to be sold starting opening day.
The second level in notable for having an extensive dress section – the largest collection of UNIQLO dresses in Southeast Asia. Here, you can also find the brand’s selection of innerwear, including the famous HEATTECH and AIRism. If you feel limited by the Kids section of the other UNIQLO outlets, the range here is sure to impress as children’s wear occupies more than half of the second floor space.
As one goes up to the third floor, digital screens along the escalators showcase the unique style and creativity of local residents and trendsetters who are discovered on social media wearing UNIQLO products. Can you also spot this author here?
The third level is the men’s section which features a generous range of sportswear for the active male as well as casual and smart casural attire for modern men. This includes the range of Easy Care long-sleeved dress shirts that stay neat even without ironing and apparel made of rare premium cotton that hugs gently.
An interactive feature in the flagship store is the range of workshops that guests can participate in. Conducted by Singaporean artists, customers can alternate between shopping and doing some pottery or learn how to make leather. Kids are also entertained with jewellery-making sessions.
