Rolls-Royce Brings a Dawn of Luxury

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unleashed its new masterpiece- a full four-seater, super-luxury Drophead Coupé, the Rolls-Royce Dawn. It was unveiled for the first time in Southeast Asia, in Sentosa Island of Sunny Singapore, an enclave of modern luxury. The location could not have been more appropriate for the company’s first new convertible in 8 years, given Singapore’s rising status as a super-luxury base in the region.

Sentosa island, one of Singapore’s luxury hotspots, was selected as the launch location of the Rolls Royce Dawn.

With our tropical climate and smooth roads, no better place calls for a laidback ‘open-top’ drive in a Drophead Coupé. Bustling with hotspots for business, entertainment and leisure, the young and affluent will find the Dawn fitting right in with their lifestyles.

The Dawn stands out with its bold design, having been mostly reworked from its predecessor, the Wraith Coupe. 80 percent of the car’s panels are new, creating a look that is both sexy and sophisticated, without making any compromises on the engineering. Rolls-Royce boasts that the Dawn is confidently the quietest convertible car yet, and even with its open-top concept, it maintains high torsional rigidity, giving its riders a “magic carpet” experience.

The Dawn boasts a spacious and graceful interior, a perfect automobile for comfort and style.

The Dawn comes with added emphasis on the Drophead, marking an attempt to structure a beautiful and versatile car that impresses with its roof both up and down. The roof performs with similar agility to that of the Wraith- silent, and operates in slightly over 20 seconds when cruising at speeds of up to 50km/h. The sleek, soundless effect was carefully mechanized with a fabric roof configuration, and has six layers along with a “French seam” that allows for optimum sound insulation. Complicated as it sounds, the roof, one of the largest canopies on a convertible, retains the classic grace of a Rolls-Royce, and drivers of the Dawn will find quiet sanctuary even on the roads.

Of course, Rolls-Royce remembers the speed lovers amongst their clientele, and the Dawn does not disappoint. It accelerates smoothly, equipped with its twin-turbo, 6.6 litre V12 engine, the very same one powering the Ghost. Cruising along the roads will be a breeze, with its eight-speed autobox that utilizes satellite navigation to analyse the slightest of contours, and shifts its gears automatically as required.

The luxurious motoring experience is one that needs to be shared, and the Dawn is also a perfect social space, its stunning and visually imposing build meant for four adults to ride in comfort. Riding with the roof up makes no difference, and the Dawn can still accommodate guests with ease, allowing all to travel together in the very pinnacle of style and class.

The Dawn’s sleek design makes everyday cruising a definite head-turner.

The Rolls-Royce Dawn exudes elegance and glamour in every inch of its design, carefully engineered and structured with precision to deliver the optimum luxury automobile. With its agility, functionality and speed, the Dawn will undoubtedly thrill the onlooker, and is a car that will surely radiate the power and poise of the Rolls-Royce owner.
